Training
One of the things that sets Tin Top Arabians apart from other horse farms is the quality of training performed by the owner, Richard Edwards. Richard has spent many years perfecting his method. Incorporating ideas from trainers such as John Lyons, Tom Dorrance, Ray Hunt and Pat Parelli with his own unique style has resulted in excellence. He is well-known and respected in his field.
What can you expect for a horse in training at our ranch?
  • Arena work 
  • Pasture work as horse advances
  • Feet - farrier will be able to pick up feet for shoeing and trimming
  • Loading - horse will be taught to load on cue
  • Manners - horse will stand quietly for rider to mount
  • Acclimation- horses will become accustomed to dogs, cows, creeks, birds, "critters" 
  • Riding lessons-we work with the owner to ensure compatibility with riding style and training
  • Good homegrown hay
